Question about special needs

So I am recovering from my knee surgery and was hoping to get to play airsoft in a few weeks. The problem is that I went to the Dr this morning and he told me that I cannot "squat, pivot, run, or jump for 6 months post-op" This basically puts me through 2009. Therefore, if I play I would basically have to always be on defense, walk to a position and stay pretty much standing or bent over the whole time. i would have to walk back to the respawn after being shot, and then could make my way back onto the field. No being able to run from cover to cover, or crawling, or any of the things I would normally do. Obviously this would not be near as fun as playing airsoft the real way, but it is better than nothing.

The question:

Would this be unfair, or too annoying to the other people playing? If I was always out in the field and set up, not having to attack, would people feel that special concessions were being made and get sick of it?

I want to try and have as much fun as I can possibly have under the circumstances, but I do not want to put a damper on anyone else's day in the process.

Im sure something can be done, hell we can always use a admin on the field

Do y'all ever play on Sundays? My wife just started working Sunday - Thursday, so Sunday's would be perfect.

Also remember this is just a game, and it will be around for a while. Adrenanlin gets people going and sometimes you forget about an injury till it's too late. Then if you re-injur yourself, you might be out for good. So yes, i'm sure we can help you out with the situation, but your health should come first. And you will be on the other team

Funny you should ask about sundays, Jim! Yes we are going to start playing on Sundays. Probably start witht he field clean up on October 11, then play on Sundays after that.

That is awesome! I am really getting the itch to get out and play, and start having some fun again. i am definitely going to try to be careful with my knee, but am looking forward to shooting people and getting shot at (hopefully more of the first and very little of the second. )

I will be out of town the weekend of the 11th (wedding anniversary) but would like to get involved in the future and help out with the field.
